Now accepting new therapy and medication management clients
Hello, my name is Jonica Davis, and I am currently completing my postdoctoral fellowship under the supervision of Dr. Heather Cornett, PhD. I am currently a doctoral candidate at Radford University, Virginia, in Counseling Psychology, and completed my Master’s in Science in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kentucky.
I am passionate about providing therapy that meets people where they currently are in their lives. I work to provide my clients a safe and affirming place to process anything that they may have going on in their lives. I have experience with CBT, ACT, DBT, multicultural feminist theory to help my client achieve their goals. I also incorporate a Health at Every Size perspective to help clients see beyond the constriction of classically defined health standards. I enjoy seeing clients who want to explore their relationship with their bodies or explore their how anti-fat bias has impacted their life.
I offer evidence based treatments for depression, anxiety, insomnia, substance use disorders, moral injury, PTSD, nightmares, and chronic pain from a neuroaffirmative approach. I also have ADHD and Autism skills trainings from CBT and ACT perspectives. I offer early evening and weekend appointments to help those who may not be able to make a weekday times.
